Stipagrostis amabilis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Namibia hingga Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Stipagrostis amabilis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Herold Georg Wilhelm Johannes Schweickerdt pada tahun 1963.
