Strelitzia juncea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Strelitziaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape. Nama ilmiah Strelitzia juncea diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Henry Cranke Andrews pada tahun 1805.
