Streptanthus campestris merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Brassicaceae (suku sawi-sawian). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari California hingga Meksiko (Baja California Norte). Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan southern jewelflower. Nama ilmiah Streptanthus campestris pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Sereno Watson pada tahun 1890.
