Streptocarpus porphyrostachys merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Gesneriaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan tumbuh menempel pada permukaan bebatuan (litofit). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Provinsi Cape timur hingga KwaZulu-Natal. Nama ilmiah Streptocarpus porphyrostachys pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Olive Mary Hilliard pada tahun 1966.
