Streptopetalum serratum merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Passifloraceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Sudan timur laut hingga Limpopo. Nama ilmiah Streptopetalum serratum diperkenalkan oleh Christian Ferdinand Friedrich Hochstetter pada tahun 1841.
Streptopetalum serratum var. angustifolium Pirotta Streptopetalum serratum var. latifolium Pirotta Wormskioldia serrata Hochst.
