Strobilanthes cusia merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu kecil dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan) yang memiliki siklus hidup semusim (annual). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Himalaya timur, China selatan, Indo-China, hingga Taiwan. Nama ilmiah Strobilanthes cusia pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1891.
