Strobilanthes glutinosa adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Pakistan timur laut, Nepal, hingga Assam. Nama ilmiah Strobilanthes glutinosa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1832.
