Strobilanthes imbricata merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Indo-China. Nama ilmiah Strobilanthes imbricata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Christian Gottfried Daniel Nees von Esenbeck pada tahun 1832.
