Strobilanthes phyllostachya merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Acanthaceae (suku jeruju-jerujuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bangladesh hingga Myanmar. Nama ilmiah Strobilanthes phyllostachya pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Wilhelm Sulpiz Kurz pada tahun 1871.
