Stromanthe macrochlamys merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Marantaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko tengah hingga Kolombia barat laut. Nama ilmiah Stromanthe macrochlamys diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Everard Woodson pada tahun 1987.
