Stromanthe sellowiana merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Marantaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Brazil (Bahia hingga Rio de Janeiro). Nama ilmiah Stromanthe sellowiana diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Karl Moritz Schumann pada tahun 1902.
