Strychnos coriacea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Loganiaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sri Lanka. Nama ilmiah Strychnos coriacea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Henry Kendrick Thwaites pada tahun 1864.
