STRYCHNINE Strychnostoxifera R.H.Schomb. ex Lindl.
Strychnos toxifera adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berkayu dari famili Loganiaceae. Spesies ini memiliki pola hidup memanjat dengan akar tetap di tanah (liana). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Kosta Rika hingga kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan strychnine. Nama ilmiah Strychnos toxifera pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Robert Hermann Schomburgk pada tahun 1838.
