Stylosanthes hamata adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan semusim atau dwimusim dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan, Venezuela, hingga Karibia. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan cheesytoes. Nama ilmiah Stylosanthes hamata pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Paul Hermann Wilhelm Taubert pada tahun 1890.
