Styrax portoricensis merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Styracaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Puerto Rico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan palo de jazmin. Nama ilmiah Styrax portoricensis diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Karl (Carl) Wilhelm Leopold Krug pada tahun 1892.
