Swertia lawii merupakan tumbuhan semusim dari famili Gentianaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah India barat daya. Nama ilmiah Swertia lawii pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Charles Baron Clarke pada tahun 1906.
