Symphyotrichum porteri merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Wyoming hingga New Mexico. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan smooth white aster. Nama ilmiah Symphyotrichum porteri diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Asa Gray pada tahun 1995.
