Symphyotrichum puniceum var. scabricaule adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari wilayah sepanjang Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara hingga Texas. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan purplestem aster. Nama ilmiah Symphyotrichum puniceum var. scabricaule pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Lloyd Herbert Shinners pada tahun 1995.
