Symphytum asperum adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Boraginaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye timur laut hingga Iran utara dan barat laut. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan prickly comfrey. Nama ilmiah Symphytum asperum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ivan Ivanovich Lepechin pada tahun 1805.
