Symplocos coriacea merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Symplocaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Peru hingga Ekuador. Nama ilmiah Symplocos coriacea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Alphonse Louis Pierre Pyrame de Candolle pada tahun 1844.
