Symplocos obtusa merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Symplocaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah India barat daya, Sri Lanka. Nama ilmiah Symplocos obtusa pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nathaniel Wallich pada tahun 1837.
