Symplocos tanakae adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Symplocaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Jepang selatan. Nama ilmiah Symplocos tanakae diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Jinzō Matsumura pada tahun 1901.
