Syngonanthus umbellatus adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Eriocaulaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Hispaniola, kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Syngonanthus umbellatus pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Jean-Baptiste Lamarck pada tahun 1900.
