Syzygium adelphicum merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Myrtaceae (suku jambu-jambuan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Papua. Nama ilmiah Syzygium adelphicum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Friedrich Ludwig Emil Diels pada tahun 1924.
