Tagetes lucida adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko hingga Honduras. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan sweetscented marigold. Nama ilmiah Tagetes lucida pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Antonio José Cavanilles pada tahun 1795.
