Tapura amazonica merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Dichapetalaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah kawasan tropis Amerika selatan. Nama ilmiah Tapura amazonica diperkenalkan oleh Eduard Friedrich Poeppig pada tahun 1843.
