Tapura mexicana merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Dichapetalaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Meksiko barat daya. Nama ilmiah Tapura mexicana diperkenalkan oleh Ghillean Tolmie Prance pada tahun 1976.
