Taraxacum brachypodon merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Asteraceae (suku aster-asteran). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Prancis hingga Austria. Nama ilmiah Taraxacum brachypodon pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Gustaf Emmanuel Haglund pada tahun 1969.
