Cemara sumatera merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Taxaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Nama ilmiah Taxus sumatrana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel pada tahun 1978.
