Cemara sumatera merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk pohon dari famili Taxaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis. Nama ilmiah Taxus sumatrana diperkenalkan oleh Friedrich Anton Wilhelm Miquel pada tahun 1978. Nama ini merupakan sinonim dari Taxus wallichiana.
