Tephrosia amoena merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Afrika Selatan. Nama ilmiah Tephrosia amoena diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Ernst Heinrich Friedrich Meyer pada tahun 1836.
