Tephrosia florida merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Amerika Serikat bagian tenggara. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan florida hoarypea. Nama ilmiah Tephrosia florida diperkenalkan oleh Friedrich Gottlieb Dietrich pada tahun 1949.
