Tephrosia nana merupakan tumbuhan semusim atau menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di kawasan tropis Afrika. Nama ilmiah Tephrosia nana pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carl Georg Theodor Kotschy pada tahun 1868.
