Tephrosia nitens adalah salah satu spesies tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Meksiko selatan hingga Bolivia dan Brazil bagian barat. Nama ilmiah Tephrosia nitens pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis George Bentham pada tahun 1853.
