Ternstroemia foetida merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Pentaphylacaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Sumatra. Nama ilmiah Ternstroemia foetida pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Clarence Emmeren Kobuski pada tahun 1963.
