Tetraria pilisepala merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Cyperaceae (suku teki-tekian). Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah. Nama ilmiah Tetraria pilisepala pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Ernst Gottlieb von Steudel pada tahun 2018.
