Thamnochortus bachmannii merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Restionaceae. Spesies ini memiliki kebiasaan membentuk rimpang atau stolon. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape barat. Nama ilmiah Thamnochortus bachmannii diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Maxwell Tylden Masters pada tahun 1900.
