Thelypteris noveboracensis merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Aspleniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Rusia Timur Jauh, Kanada bagian timur, hingga Amerika Serikat bagian utara-tengah dan timur. Dalam bahasa Inggris tumbuhan ini dikenal dengan sebutan new york fern. Nama ilmiah Thelypteris noveboracensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Julius Aloysius Arthur Nieuwland pada tahun 1910.
