Thelypteris praetervisa merupakan tumbuhan dari famili Aspleniaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis basah di wilayah Venezuela (Aragua). Nama ilmiah Thelypteris praetervisa diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Friedrich Adalbert Maximilian Kuhn pada tahun 1980.
