Thesium frisea merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Santalaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Provinsi Cape selatan. Nama ilmiah Thesium frisea pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Carolus Linnaeus dalam Species Plantarum tahun 1771.
