Thesium karooicum merupakan tumbuhan perdu atau perdu kecil dari famili Santalaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma gurun pasir atau sabana kering di wilayah Western Cape. Nama ilmiah Thesium karooicum diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Robert Harold Compton pada tahun 1931.
