Thesium nigricans merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Santalaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di kawasan tropis Afrika selatan. Nama ilmiah Thesium nigricans diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Alfred Barton Rendle pada tahun 1894.
