Thinopyrum podperae merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Poaceae (suku rumput-rumputan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye hingga Iran. Nama ilmiah Thinopyrum podperae diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama František Nábělek pada tahun 1984.
