Thomasia brachystachys merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Malvaceae (suku kapas-kapasan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis di wilayah Australia Barat bagian barat daya. Nama ilmiah Thomasia brachystachys pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Nicolai Stepanovitch Turczaninow pada tahun 1852.
