Thouinia simplicifolia merupakan tumbuhan berbentuk perdu dari famili Sapindaceae (suku lerak-lerakan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim tropis kering di wilayah Haiti. Nama ilmiah Thouinia simplicifolia diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Pierre Antoine Poiteau pada tahun 1804.
