Thymelaea calycina merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Thymelaeaceae. Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Pyrenees barat dan tengah hingga Spanyol utara. Nama ilmiah Thymelaea calycina diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Baron Philippe-Isidore Picot de Lapeyrouse (La Peirouse) pada tahun 1857.
