Thymus comosus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah Carpathians timur dan selatan. Nama ilmiah Thymus comosus diperkenalkan oleh János (Johann) A. Heuffel pada tahun 1852.
