Thymus kotschyanus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Türkiye selatan dan timur hingga Iran. Nama ilmiah Thymus kotschyanus diperkenalkan oleh Pierre Edmond Boissier pada tahun 1844.
