Thymus leucotrichus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim subtropis dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Bulgaria hingga Mediterania timur. Nama ilmiah Thymus leucotrichus diperkenalkan oleh seorang botanis bernama Eugen von Halácsy pada tahun 1902.
