Thymus nervosus merupakan tumbuhan perdu kecil dari famili Lamiaceae (suku nilam-nilaman). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang dengan rentang sebaran mulai dari Prancis tenggara (Gn. Ventoux), Pyrenees hingga Spanyol utara. Nama ilmiah Thymus nervosus diperkenalkan oleh Jacques Etienne Gay pada tahun 1893.
