Tibetia tongolensis merupakan tumbuhan menahun dari famili Fabaceae (suku polong-polongan). Tumbuhan ini berasal dari bioma beriklim sedang di wilayah China (Sichuan, Yunnan). Nama ilmiah Tibetia tongolensis pertama kali dipublikasikan oleh botanis Oskar Eberhard Ulbrich pada tahun 1979.
